Sarah Christie has the privilege of Opening the 2011 bowling season by rolling the first 'Jack'.
A couple of our members showing that they are still 'BEHIND' the times on the green at least. The faceless duo will not be named
Tactics by our young 'Oldies' Darren & Mike as they try and tire out the Golden boys by letting them kick the bowls back, with the exception of Roy of course, always the gentleman
Oldie V.P. Gary looks like he is a bit 'Short' again whilst Burns in the background seems to be asking, 'what's that white thing in amongst those bowls'?
Young Darren Prentice swaps his Northern shirt for the colours of the E&LBA U25's as he leads the way for his rink. Darren is our first U25's representative in many a long year and has made a winning start in his first two games. Good luck for many more to Follow Darren.

For the First time in the 132 year history of the Northern Bowling Club, the President became club Champion in the same year and it is fitting, given the honours that his father Jackie brought to the club, that Stan Christie was the man to achieve this.  Not only that but Stan's lovely wife Jacquie also retained the Ladies Championship to make it a fantastic year for the Christie family.
